Atlas Engine (NYC)

Atlas Engine’s mix of Celestial Indie Rock features an “expansive universe of sound” (The Wild Honey Pie) with “hook-filled anthems, soaring melodies, and evocative introspection” (New Noise). The Brooklyn five-piece has gained coveted placements on Spotify’s “Fresh Finds: Six Strings” and Pandora’s “Today’s Indie” playlists and has shared the stage with Japanese Breakfast, Nation of Language, and OkeyDokey. In 2022 the band will release a suite of EPs that will comprise their ambitious debut full length, “When the Compass Resets There Can Be No Regrets” , a concept record detailing songwriter Nick LaFalce’s experience with Lyme Disease. Lady Ro (NYC)

Lady Ro is a self-described exploration of rock and roll trash royalty, drawing on influences like Mazzy Star, Amy Winehouse, and Lorde. With magnetic showmanship, lyrically-driven songs, and a sultry voice to deliver them, Lady Ro instantly pulls in audiences with a sound that is simultaneously vulnerable, powerful, and iconic. Following two stellar singles, Dragon and Blue Moon, Lady Ro will be releasing her debut EP, Elsewhere, on January 29th via Favorite Friend Records. For more updates on all things Lady Ro, fans can follow her on Spotify and Instagram (@ladyro.jpg)

Strawberry Launch (NYC)

Strawberry Launch are a female-fronted, psychedelic-pop group whose debut EP, released in August 2021, quickly gained praise for its “radiant, energetic and invigorating immersion that blends psych, rock, and pop elements into a glorious controlled chaos” from Atwood Magazine, Under the Radar, and Rolling Stone India. The group has built a devoted following in New York City, sharing the stage with heavy hitters Beach Bunny, Hot Flash Heat Wave, and Similar Kind. With new support from Favorite Friend Records, the group is running head-first into 2022 with tours across the East Coast and Midwest and new music planned for the fall.  Instagram | EPK

Sally Hatchet (NYC)

Somewhere between a band and an alter-ego, Sally Hatchet douses songwriter Katie Glasgow’s confessional and vulnerable lyrics in sticky 90s nostalgia. Born from Glasgow’s desire to escape more fully into music and characters, Sally Hatchet parts from indie-pop niceties and looks toward the unapologetic moxie of The Cranberries, Pixies, and The Breeders. The debut single from Sally Hatchet, Habitat, will be available January 2023.

Edna (NYC)

Edna is rock music at its most communal. Drawing inspiration from the cosmic wonder of Jerry Garcia and the absurdist enlightenment of Stephen Malkmus, Michael Tarnofsky’s imagistic songwriting drifts through crowded bars and city streets, rich with detail both musically and lyrically, finding inspiration in every shade of emotion with a ragged late night intimacy. With 4 singles set for release this year, the group draws on a vast lineage of late-night singalongs, from the soaring choruses of Tom Petty to the homemade anthems of Guided by Voices, with a sense of confidence and ease that feels entirely their own. …obviously (UK)

After 2 years of frustrating experiences playing in prior bands, London’s Abigail De Haro decided to start a new project that gave her more creative control. Combining elements from JAWNY, Phoebe Bridgers, and Beach Bunny ...obviously is a bedroom pop project that combines haunting and dark lo-fi atmospherics with cutting, to-the-point lyrical messaging. …Obviously is the newest addition to the Favorite Friend family and we’re (…obviously) very excited to have her on board.
